Me

Picture of meI got my first personal computer when I was about 9. It was a C64. I was pretty much excited though I did not know anything about computers. An old friend of the family came and explained the basics. He showed how to load and run programs how to setup the hardware and also gave a book about programming in Basic. I was amazed. I asked my mother what his profession was. Software engineer.

I’m a software engineer for many years now. I’ve worked on large and small projects, had hard and good times, fun and difficulties. But something has never changed; I do my job with the same passion and enthusiasm that once touched me.

My name is Gergo Buchholcz. Welcome to my blog! ;)

The blog

Developer Road is a practical architectural guide for web development based mainly on .NET technologies. The blog aims to explore the proper ways of solving recurring problems and requirements that are so often corrupted in practice. Error handling, authentication, efficient presentation and separation of concerns and many more are all in spot light. Posts will investigate best practices, typical design flaws and solutions offered by the .NET framework strictly from a very pragmatic point of view.
I hope that any developer who is into web technologies will find this blog useful and worth reading.
